KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak wants all parties to let the High Court resolve the issue on the use of the word 'Allah'.
"But, whatever it is, the authorities are prepared and I hope, if there are people who want to protest, it will not spill over into something more serious... hopefully, there will be a very minimal protest," he told reporters after launching the 1Malaysia Clinic in Kerinchi, Lembah Pantai here.
Najib was asked to comment on rumours that there would widespread protests tomorrow after Friday prayers, against the use of the word 'Allah' by the Catholic weekly magazine, Herald.
On another question, Najib said the government could not stop the protesters if they wanted to congregate within mosque compounds, as long as it was confined within that area.
